Broadcasts

Broadcasts let admins show server-wide announcements in the messenger and optionally notify offline users.

Create or Edit a Broadcast

Open the Broadcasts tab and choose "New." The form includes title, message body, severity, category, optional start and end times, whether users can dismiss the banner, and whether to send a push notification to offline users.

Severity and Category

Severity can be Info, Warning, or Critical. Category can be General, Maintenance, or Update. These labels appear on the broadcast card so admins can scan the list before publishing or archiving.

Drafts, Publishing, and Archive

Use "Save Draft" when the announcement is not ready. Use "Publish" to make it active immediately or according to the configured start time. Published or scheduled broadcasts can be edited, archived, or deleted from labelled row action buttons.

Safety Notes

• Use push notifications only for announcements that should reach inactive devices.
• Archive old broadcasts instead of deleting them when you need a record of what was shown.
• Keep announcement text concise; banners are designed for short operational messages.
